Northern Burlington celebrates senior accomplishments at graduation awards night

The Northern Burlington County Regional School District held a celebratory event on June 24, 2025, to honor the achievements of its senior class. The gathering welcomed parents, families, presenters, and students, creating an atmosphere of pride and anticipation as graduation approached.

The evening began with a warm welcome from the principal, who expressed excitement about celebrating the seniors' accomplishments. The principal emphasized the significance of the graduation theme, "The Future is Ours," while reflecting on the students' growth and experiences over the past 18 years. Acknowledging the unique bond formed during their time at Northern Burlington, the principal noted that while the students may not have always been Greyhounds, they would carry that identity with them into adulthood.

Following the opening remarks, the first award presented was the Marcellus Bethea Memorial Scholarship, which honors a former trooper and Mansfield resident. The scholarship, valued at $782, is awarded to a Northern Burlington student in good academic standing pursuing a degree in criminal justice. This year, the scholarship was awarded to Haley Bastian, who was invited to the stage to receive her recognition.

The event continued with the introduction of additional presenters, including Assistant Principal Kelvin Ramirez and Robert Dyson from the Jackson Community Center, who were set to present further awards. The evening highlighted the dedication and achievements of the senior class, setting a positive tone as they prepare for their upcoming graduation.
