Delhi Township honors police officers Chetwood and Jasper at Christmas parade ceremony

During the recent Delhi Township Trustee Meeting held on June 25, 2025, community spirit and public service took center stage as the board honored two distinguished local figures and welcomed new members to the police force.

Trustee Davis expressed gratitude to the parade committee and specifically recognized the leadership of Don Jenkins and Tony Kappel for their efforts in organizing the event. This year, the parade honored two grand marshals: Bob Chetwood and Don Jasper, both of whom have dedicated decades of service to the community. Chetwood, a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and a former volunteer firefighter, was celebrated for his commitment to public safety. Jasper, a retired lieutenant from the Delhi Police Department, was acknowledged for his instrumental role in establishing the police force and his extensive community involvement, including work with the Boy Scouts.

Edmonson, a military police veteran, and Shaw, a former sergeant with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, bring diverse experiences and a shared dedication to serving the residents of Delhi Township.
