Taneytown Chamber of Commerce hosts legislative wrap-up with Delegate Chris Tomlinson

Carroll County is set to enhance its historical preservation efforts following a recent meeting of the Board of County Commissioners on June 26, 2025. The commissioners expressed strong support for the expansion of a museum dedicated to the history of African American students at the Robert Moton School. This initiative, backed by former students and community members, aims to highlight a significant yet often overlooked chapter in the county's history.

Commissioner Kyler, along with fellow commissioners, emphasized the importance of community involvement in this project, noting that local municipalities, including Westminster, have pledged their support. The meeting also highlighted the commissioners' commitment to engaging with the youth of Carroll County. Commissioner Garren shared his recent experience speaking at Boys State, where he encouraged young leaders to embrace collaboration and navigate disagreements constructively.
