Chabad of Pembroke Pines seeks variance for new mikvah construction

The Planning and Zoning Board meeting held on June 26, 2025, in Pembroke Pines, Florida, featured a significant variance request from Chabad of Pembroke Pines, represented by Robert Mordechai. Concerns regarding parking were raised during the discussion. Mordechai addressed these issues by stating that the synagogue's parking lot is largely underutilized, remaining empty 95% of the time. He noted that during the week, the space is primarily used for office purposes, and even during Shabbat services, attendance does not necessitate extensive parking. Typically, only about 10 cars are present for services, as many attendees walk from nearby neighborhoods.
