Massapequa High School honors lacrosse and baseball teams for championship wins

The Board of Education meeting held on June 26, 2025, celebrated the achievements of local high school athletic teams, highlighting the success of both the varsity baseball and women's softball teams.

During the meeting, varsity baseball coach Tom Sheedy praised his team for their hard work and dedication, noting that they had recently won both a Long Island and County Championship. Coach Sheedy, who has been with the program for over 20 years, expressed pride in the legacy of the Massapequa baseball program and acknowledged the contributions of his coaching staff and players.
