Tivoli announces pride walk and summer camp registration details

The Village of Tivoli is gearing up for an exciting weekend filled with community events, as announced during the recent Board of Trustees meeting. This Friday, residents are invited to a potluck supper at the American Legion Pavilion at 6 PM. Attendees are encouraged to bring a dish to share, with the unofficial village band, the Hootenanny, possibly providing entertainment.

Saturday promises to be vibrant with the annual Pride Walk, starting at the Smenskanski and led by a timber fire truck to the Corner Hotel. There, Jeanette Pabon will host a lively tea dance featuring special cocktails, welcoming everyone to join in the festivities.

In addition to these events, the village is preparing for its yard sale day in July, urging residents to register early to be included on the sale map. Looking ahead, Tivoli Day is set for August, and parents are reminded to register their children for the popular summer camp, which has limited spaces based on available counselors.

As the summer season progresses, officials also cautioned residents about the increased presence of ticks and poison ivy in the area, advising everyone to stay vigilant while enjoying outdoor activities. The Tivoli Library is also launching its summer reading program, encouraging community engagement and literacy.
