Sahuarita Town Council adopts new solid waste and recycling collection fee ordinance

During the Town Council meeting on June 23, 2025, the Sahuarita Council unanimously approved a new ordinance regarding solid waste and recycling collection fees, which will remain in effect for the next four years. The monthly fee for residents will be set at $22.75, translating to $68.25 per quarter. This decision follows a thorough negotiation process with the town's contracted waste management provider, ensuring that residents are informed and engaged throughout the process.

Deputy Public Works Director Daniel Logan, who humorously referred to himself as the "trash guy," emphasized the importance of transparency and communication with the community.
