DuPage County approves $4.15M for affordable housing developments in Naperville and Glen Ellyn

During the HAG CDC Committee Meeting on July 1, 2025, members unanimously approved a conditional commitment of $2,400,336 in HOME Investment Partnerships Program funds to Gorman and Company LLC for the construction of 71 affordable rental units in Naperville, Illinois.

This decision is part of a broader strategy to support housing projects that also seek Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC). The approval process involves a preliminary set-aside, which allows developers to secure funding while awaiting tax credit approval. In a similar vein, the committee also approved a conditional commitment of $1,750,000 for a project by Full Circle Communities Incorporated, which will create 42 affordable rental units in Glen Ellyn, Illinois.
