Bothell prepares for July 4 celebrations with pancake breakfast and children’s parade

The Bothell City Council meeting on July 1, 2025, focused on preparations for the upcoming Fourth of July celebrations and updates on local construction projects.

The meeting highlighted the schedule for the Fourth of July festivities, which will begin with a pancake breakfast at Papa Landing from 8:30 to 10:30 AM. This will be followed by a children's parade at 11:15 AM and the grand parade at noon, featuring approximately 90 entrants. Notably, the traditional car show will not take place this year, but organizers hope to reinstate it in 2026.

In addition to the parades, the Pop Shop Market will be held from 10 AM to 2 PM in Lots E, F, and G, offering a variety of food options, including those suitable for individuals with food allergies. The market has been relocated from its previous location on Multi Way Boulevard to accommodate more vendors.

City officials expressed gratitude to the nearly 150 employees involved in organizing the events, emphasizing the extensive planning that begins at the start of each year. This workforce represents over 40% of the city's employees, all dedicated to ensuring a successful celebration for the community.

The meeting also touched on ongoing construction in downtown Bothell, specifically the bollard work on Main Street and Festival Street, addressing any community concerns regarding the project.
