This initiative is already in place in some districts, such as Port Jervis, and aims to ensure that children receive timely support.

The meeting also touched on the topic of reorganization within the school districts. While officials clarified that reorganization is not the same as consolidation, there was notable pushback from some member districts. Concerns were raised that reorganization could lead to consolidation, leaving the discussion unresolved.

Furthermore, the New York State School Boards Association (NISBA) introduced the Tomorrow's Leaders Today Recognition Program. This initiative aims to honor students who demonstrate leadership outside of school settings, encouraging them to engage in community service and problem-solving initiatives.

The meeting concluded with the announcement of important upcoming dates for the school district, emphasizing the ongoing commitment to community engagement and student support.
