New Ulm City Council approves PUD zoning for River Haven Housing project

The council also emphasized the importance of landscaping in the project. They are encouraging the developer to enhance the landscaping beyond the minimum requirements. Suggestions include planting larger trees from the outset and preserving existing trees on the property to provide better screening for the development. This proactive approach aims to ensure that the project integrates well with the surrounding environment and meets community aesthetic standards.

While the developer is planning to begin site work this fall, there is no confirmed timeline for construction yet. The council noted that the developer may be waiting for final approvals before committing further resources to the project.
