Long Beach Youth Artists Recognized in Citywide Art Contest

Young artists in Long Beach are receiving well-deserved recognition as the city celebrates the LB NOW: Long Beach Youth Art Contest Awards 2025. The event, held on July 3, 2025, showcased the creativity and talent of youth artists from all nine council districts, highlighting the vibrant artistic community within the city.

During the ceremony, local leaders expressed pride in the overwhelming response to the contest, which received over 60 submissions. Council members actively engaged with the audience, encouraging young artists from various districts to take pride in their work. District 2 winners, Melissa and Cecilia, were recognized for their passionate contributions to the arts, while District 3 celebrated Tessa and Claire for their beautiful depictions of the city’s natural beauty.

The event was made possible through collaboration with the Arts Council for Long Beach and the Long Beach Unified School District, which organized numerous workshops and events to encourage participation.
