Mayor presents art awards to Long Beach youth artists Tessa and Heidi Kim

The Long Beach Youth Art Contest Awards 2025 took place on July 3, 2025, celebrating the creativity and talent of young artists in the community. The event was marked by the presentation of certificates and gifts to the awardees, highlighting the importance of artistic expression in the lives of youth.

Following Tessa, Councilman Daryl Supernaw from District 4 took the stage to honor the next set of awardees. The first recipient was Heidi Kim, a 9-year-old artist from Minnegan Elementary School, who was also celebrated for her artistic achievements.
