Hendrick Hudson School District welcomes new athletic director and high school principal

The Hendrick Hudson School District is set to enhance its leadership team with the recent appointments of two key figures, Bo Morky and Lisa Martino Alves, during a board meeting held on July 3, 2025. Morky will serve as the transitional administrator of K-12 physical education and health and athletics, stepping into the full athletic director role in January 2026. His extensive background in athletics and youth leadership is expected to drive innovative and student-focused advancements in district programs.

In addition, Alves has been appointed as the new principal of Hendrick Hudson High School, bringing over 20 years of educational experience and a commitment to student-centered leadership. She expressed her enthusiasm for joining the community and her eagerness to support the ongoing efforts at the high school.

Superintendent Mike Traube highlighted the importance of these appointments, emphasizing the district's commitment to serving students and the community. He also acknowledged the leadership transitions within the district, including Lauren Scollins as the new assistant superintendent for curriculum instruction and assessment, and Jill Figueroa as the assistant superintendent for financial continuity and controls.
