Signal Hill School honors Sadie Riviello for winning Camden County poster contest

The Voorhees Township School District celebrated student achievement and honored retiring staff during its Board of Education meeting on June 9, 2025. The meeting, which prioritized student presentations and retiree recognitions, showcased the district's commitment to fostering talent and acknowledging the contributions of long-serving educators.

Principal Missus Sals from Signal Hill School highlighted the remarkable accomplishment of fourth-grade student Sadie Riviello, who won first place in Camden County's annual "My County" poster contest. Riviello's poster, which featured the names and portraits of county board commissioners, stood out among 400 submissions. Principal Sals expressed pride in Riviello's talent and character, emphasizing her positive influence within the community.

Art teacher Miss McGill from Crescent School also presented at the meeting, inviting board members to view the impressive artwork created by students across the district. She encouraged attendees to appreciate the creativity and effort displayed in the art department, reinforcing the importance of arts education in student development.

The meeting also recognized the dedication of retiring staff members, including Lydia Bong, Arnie Mitchell, Charlie Prince, Michael Redford, and Sonia. Board members expressed deep gratitude for their years of service, acknowledging the lasting impact these educators have had on students' lives.
