Concord Township honors firefighters for life-saving rescue during house fire

The Concord Township Council held a public meeting on July 1, 2025, where they honored local heroes from the Concordville Fire and Protective Association for their bravery during a recent emergency. The council recognized the quick and courageous actions of firefighters and emergency medical technicians who responded to a structure fire on Patriot Lane in the early hours of June 28, 2025.

During the meeting, a resolution was presented to commend the efforts of Lieutenant Joseph Hudima and firefighters Timothy Green, James O'Hara, Joshua May, Christopher Zacker, EMT Alexa DeNicola, and EMT Steven Syska. The resolution highlighted their rapid response to a heavily engulfed home, where they successfully located and rescued a resident who was still asleep inside the building.

The council emphasized the importance of the firefighters' teamwork and dedication, which directly contributed to saving a life under dangerous conditions. Fire Marshal Bob expressed pride in the crew's performance, noting that such successful rescues are not always possible. He praised the team for their exceptional work and commitment to public safety.
