Montgomery Police Academy elects new student leaders for class 2025

The Montgomery Police Academy celebrated the graduation of its Class 2025 Alpha and Class 2025 1 on July 2, 2025, highlighting the leadership roles filled by newly elected officers. Officer Hakeem McBride from the Montgomery Police Department was elected as the class president, taking on the crucial role of liaison between the academy staff and students, and delivering the graduation address.

Supporting him is Vice President Officer Evan Wills from the Argo Police Department, who will assist in class duties and manage social functions. Officer Mariah Easterly, also from the Montgomery Police Department, serves as Secretary Treasurer, responsible for maintaining class equipment and managing expenditures. Lastly, Officer Michael Worthy from the Prattville Police Department takes on the role of Chaplain, focusing on the morale and welfare of the class and acknowledging significant family events.

The ceremony included a video showcasing the challenges and achievements of the graduates during their training, emphasizing their dedication and resilience. Additionally, the event marked a bittersweet moment as Lieutenant Wise announced his retirement, recognized for his contributions to the academy's cinematography.
