Pine Mountain reallocates budget for exit bridge and viewing platform enhancements

The discussion continued with plans to replace wood picnic tables at parks and recreation facilities with accessible tables. Similar to the flooring project, this initiative was also shifted from the capital budget to the maintenance and repair budget to facilitate timely ordering.

Lastly, the council reviewed a budget allocation for purchasing tactical shields using state seizure funds. This item was presented as straightforward, with no further questions raised.

Councilman McCoy raised concerns regarding the overall budget presentation, questioning the apparent discrepancies between expense accounts and revenue. The finance representative clarified that the budget reflects two separate funds: the capital project fund and the general fund, explaining the necessity for amendments in both areas.
