Planning Board approves extension for Amy's Kitchen site plan until January 2026

The Goshen Planning Board made significant strides during its July 3, 2025 meeting, notably approving a six-month extension for Amy's Kitchen's site plan, pushing the deadline to January 15, 2026. This extension is crucial as the company has made substantial progress on infrastructure, including the installation of three miles of water and sewer lines and the construction of access roads and facilities.

Chairman Burgess recused himself from the discussion, allowing board member Gio to present the extension request from Amy's Kitchen and its affiliated entity, Science of the Soul. The board engaged in a brief discussion about the implications of the extension, including whether it would be the last one granted. Members confirmed that the approval would carry over to any new owners unless the intended use of the property changed.

In addition to the extension, the board reviewed applications for new projects, including American Reclaimed LLC's proposal for a custom wood furniture fabrication site. The board moved to approve the draft resolution for this project, which is set on 2.8 acres along Route 17A.

The meeting also touched on a solar energy system application from Liberty Energy Systems, although the representatives were not present to discuss it. Lastly, James Gordon LLC presented an initial application for an agricultural warehouse and onion packaging facility, marking the beginning of discussions on this new venture.
