Tess Welborn, a passionate advocate for the market, highlighted the hardships faced by farmers due to the current plans, stating, "Putting a portable bathroom at the site of this temporary location at Fulton Plaza would not be an impossible thing to do." She urged city officials to reconsider the market's relocation, stressing that summer and fall are critical seasons for farmers.

Liza Morawski, a member of the Tenderloin People's Congress, criticized the lack of community outreach and transparency in the planning process. "This presentation was weak, convoluted, and disrespectful," she asserted, calling for a reevaluation of the plans that seem to prioritize commercial interests over community needs.

Support for the market was echoed by Francisco Leon, who noted positive feedback from visitors about the new skate park and workout area. However, he acknowledged the importance of maintaining access for farmers and their customers.

Longtime market supporter Traitor Jeff expressed concern over the declining presence of farmers since the relocation, urging officials to take action before the market disappears entirely. "We need to do whatever it takes to keep it going," he said.
