During a recent government meeting, city officials provided a detailed report on the festival's second year, highlighting significant improvements made by Goldenvoice, the event's organizing team, to enhance safety and sound management.

This year, the festival welcomed approximately 31,000 attendees on Saturday and 24,000 on Sunday. Remarkably, there were no major medical or security incidents reported throughout the weekend, with only a handful of minor medical transports related to intoxication. This positive outcome reflects the festival's commitment to ensuring a safe environment for all participants.

Key to this success were the substantial changes implemented in response to feedback from last year's event. Goldenvoice hired sound management experts to optimize stage configurations and direct sound away from sensitive areas. They also installed sound meters in four critical locations to monitor noise levels in real-time, ensuring compliance with city regulations.

City officials, including deputy director Azzavito and senior inspector Verena, actively engaged with the festival's sound management team, conducting sound tests and monitoring compliance throughout the weekend. Their efforts included setting a sound limit consistent with other large-scale outdoor events, which was successfully adhered to during the festival.

Despite the overall success, the final hours of the festival on Sunday saw a spike in complaints, particularly from Alameda, attributed to changing weather conditions. While the festival received 180 complaints from Alameda residents, only four were from San Francisco. City officials plan to address these concerns with Alameda's city representatives, emphasizing the festival's dedication to being a good neighbor.

As the meeting concluded, officials noted that no appeals had been filed regarding the revocation of the entertainment permit for Stratos, ensuring that the focus remains on fostering a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for future events.
