Arlington's Fourth of July Parade celebrates youth champions and community organizations

The Arlington 4th of July Parade showcased a vibrant celebration of community spirit and local pride on July 5, 2025. The event featured a variety of participants, including youth sports teams, local businesses, and community organizations, all contributing to a festive atmosphere.

One highlight of the parade was the recognition of the Mansfield Sports Academy, whose football teams are reigning champions in the 8U, 10U, and 12U divisions. Their success was celebrated as a testament to their commitment to youth development. The parade also featured Maverick Tree Services, a local business that has served the Arlington community for 15 years, offering a special discount for parade attendees.

The Arlington Penn State Parade Association, a nonprofit organization run entirely by volunteers, organized the event. Their dedication to the community was acknowledged, emphasizing the importance of volunteerism in making the parade a success.

Among the participants was Men Serving God, a Christian organization focused on encouraging service among men of all ages. They aim to inspire individuals to contribute positively to their communities. Additionally, Mary Hill School made its debut in the parade, showcasing its support for students from infancy through middle school since 1988.

The Lamar High School contingent brought school spirit to the event, featuring the Viking cheerleaders, the award-winning Vikewings drill team, and the Proud of Lamar Marching Band. The band, which has represented Arlington for 54 years, performed at the Music for All National Festival in Indianapolis this year.

The parade also included the Metroplex Atheists, highlighting their advocacy for social justice and the representation of minority groups affected by religious laws. Lastly, the Maslow Car Vets, a motorized unit of the Fort Worth Maslow Shrine, participated, promoting their mission of providing medical treatment for children at no cost to families.

Overall, the Arlington 4th of July Parade served as a platform for local organizations and community members to come together, celebrate their achievements, and foster a sense of unity.
