Gaston County unveils 2050 transportation plan seeking public feedback

The Gastonia City Council meeting on March 18, 2025, focused on several key community initiatives, including updates on infrastructure projects and upcoming local events.

Council members confirmed that the older gray steel and aluminum poles will be removed once the new lights are installed. Gallagher urged local inspectors to expedite the necessary approvals to ensure Gastonia's timely opening.

Lastly, the council announced an upcoming Shred Day event on April 5 at the Gastonia Farmers Market, where residents can dispose of documents securely and free of charge.
