Sierra Vista Rotary Club hosts Fourth of July celebration with fireworks and community events

The Fourth of July festivities in Sierra Vista, Arizona, are set to dazzle residents with a day packed full of events, culminating in one of the largest fireworks displays in the state. Randy Siskind from the Sierra Vista Rotary Club highlighted the excitement during a recent government meeting, emphasizing that the celebrations kicked off the night before and will continue throughout the day.

The day's agenda includes a variety of activities, starting with the Pets and People Promenade, followed by a reflection led by Captain Brent Church from the Salvation Army. Notable highlights include the "Salute to the Union," featuring a cannon salute representing all 50 states, and an F-16 flyover that promises to be a crowd favorite. The event will also showcase performances from local groups, including the Sierra Vista Community Band and dance companies.

As the day progresses, attendees can enjoy food and craft vendors, military displays, and live entertainment. The fireworks show, scheduled for 8:15 PM, is expected to be a spectacular finale, with Siskind noting that this year's display is particularly impressive, thanks to a dedicated volunteer pyrotechnic crew with over 15 years of experience.

The Sierra Vista Rotary Club, in partnership with the City of Sierra Vista and Fort Huachuca, organizes the event, relying on local sponsorships to fund the fireworks without using public money. Siskind expressed gratitude to the community for their support, highlighting sponsors like Vinny's New York Pizza, which has been a long-time contributor.

As the celebrations unfold, attendees are reminded to follow safety guidelines, including parking restrictions and prohibited items like sparklers. With a day full of activities and a stunning fireworks display on the horizon, Sierra Vista is poised for a memorable Fourth of July celebration.
