Mandell emphasized the need for a tabletop speed bump at the entrance to Kids Sport to enhance safety for pedestrians, especially children. She recounted several near-miss incidents involving speeding vehicles and pedestrians, highlighting the urgency of addressing traffic safety in the area.

Additionally, Mandell advocated for the completion of a walking path from Highway 93 to Kids Sport, which would provide a safer crossing for pedestrians. She underscored the dangers posed by vehicles speeding down the hill, making it difficult for pedestrians to cross safely.
