Mobile Museum of Art offers free admission to Alabama residents through Caring Foundation grant

In the heart of Mobile, city officials gathered on July 8, 2025, to celebrate community achievements and announce exciting new initiatives. One of the standout announcements was the introduction of free admission to the Mobile Museum of Art for Alabama residents on Thursdays through September 30, thanks to a generous grant from the Caring Foundation. This initiative builds on existing programs that already offer free access to Mobile County residents, SNAP recipients, active duty military members, veterans, teachers, and first responders. Additionally, the council presented the Exceptional Citizenship Medal to Martin Miller, a passionate volunteer at the local animal shelter. Miller's journey from Scotland to Mobile, marked by his love for his late dog, Troy, has fueled his commitment to improving the lives of animals in the community. His tireless efforts in promoting adoptions and supporting shelter operations have made him a beloved figure among city officials and residents alike.
