Bartlett to host public meeting on Quail Ridge Golf Course redevelopment plans

Bartlett's Board of Mayor and Aldermen made significant strides during their regular meeting on July 8, 2025, particularly regarding the future of the Quail Ridge Golf Course property. The board discussed plans to transform the site into a mixed-use community that includes single-family residences and senior living options, aiming to create a vibrant, multi-generational neighborhood.

The Wilders, who previously managed the golf course, presented their vision for the property, emphasizing the importance of community input. They announced a public meeting scheduled for July 15, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Bartlett Performing Arts and Conference Center. This meeting will provide residents an opportunity to learn more about the proposed development and share their thoughts.

Michelle from DT Design Studio, a key partner in the project, outlined plans for the area, which will feature larger lots on the outskirts transitioning to smaller lots within the community. The design also includes amenities such as walking trails, a pavilion, and pickleball courts, which will be accessible to both residents and the public.

The board acknowledged the community's interest in the project, with Alderman Rees raising concerns about the potential need for a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) district to support the development. The city is currently reviewing the latest TIF laws to ensure compliance.

In addition to the Quail Ridge discussions, the meeting highlighted upcoming community events, including a Food Truck Friday at Freeman Park and the launch of the Bartlett Live music series, fostering community engagement and enjoyment.
