Portsmouth Parks Department outlines expansive summer programs for all ages

On July 8, 2025, the Portsmouth City Council held a public work session focusing on the city's summer programs and the ongoing development of the city master plan. The council expressed the importance of advocacy efforts to maintain this funding, as it plays a crucial role in assisting at-risk youth and their families.

Council members emphasized the importance of a user-friendly online platform for residents to easily access information about available programs. Suggestions included enhancing the city’s website to better serve mobile users and ensuring that promotional materials reach a wider audience, including churches and civic organizations.
