Tehachapi hosts Mountain Fest and Pro Rodeo featuring bands, vendors, and live performances

Tehachapi is gearing up for an exciting weekend filled with festivities as the Mountain Festival approaches, scheduled for July 15-16, 2025. This year’s event promises a vibrant lineup, featuring over 80 vendors showcasing arts and crafts, live music from popular local bands, and a variety of activities for all ages.

The festival will kick off on Saturday, July 15, from 10 AM to 5 PM and continue on Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM. Attendees can look forward to performances by Bridal Garden, Heart and Soul Line Dancing, and Joey Strader, ensuring a lively atmosphere throughout the weekend. Additionally, a church service will be held Sunday morning at Central Park, providing a moment of reflection amidst the celebrations.

In conjunction with the Mountain Festival, the Pro Rodeo will take place on the same weekend, featuring professional rodeo athletes from across the country. Tickets for this thrilling event will be available soon, adding to the excitement of the weekend.

On July 16, the Maker's Market will be hosted at Railroad Park, with a few vendor spots still open for those interested in participating. The Green Street Get Down will also return, offering a full day of entertainment, including live music performances from Sammy Ramon and headliner Video 1, along with food trucks and local brews.

The festivities will begin early on Saturday with a 5K run organized by TBRPD, followed by a pancake breakfast and a parade at 10 AM. The Gem and Mineral Show will also be held at the Senior Center on July 16-17, providing yet another attraction for festival-goers.

In addition to these events, the Tehachapi Community Theater Association is preparing for a highly anticipated production of "The Sound of Music," which is expected to be a standout performance of the year. Community members are encouraged to get involved with TCTA by attending their monthly board meetings.
