Romeoville hosts summer events and celebrates Public Safety Academy graduates

The Village of Romeoville is gearing up for a vibrant summer, highlighted by the upcoming fun fair on Saturday, July 12, starting at 3:30 PM, featuring live music from Forest Run at 5 PM. The excitement continues with a series of community events, including the popular "Rockin' the Ville" concert tomorrow at 7 PM, showcasing the band Infinity.

During the Village Board meeting on July 9, officials celebrated recent community achievements, including the successful Public Safety Academy, which introduced residents to the workings of local police and fire departments. Trustee Tristan Richards praised the initiative, stating, "It was a phenomenal thing, and I would like to see this continue." The program aims to engage residents and inspire future generations to consider careers in public safety.

Trustee Gary echoed these sentiments, expressing gratitude to all departments involved in organizing community events. He encouraged residents to participate in the beautification contest, with submissions open until July 1, and to share photos of their Monarch Gardens to promote local biodiversity.
