DuPage Water Commission considers housing development proposals for surplus property sale

In addition to the housing discussions, board member Dawn Desart shared a letter thanking the board for securing $1 million in funding for stormwater infrastructure improvements in Naperville. This funding will support several projects aimed at enhancing the region's environmental management.

The meeting also touched on community concerns regarding fireworks, with a board member advocating for stricter regulations on their use, especially during the weeks following the Fourth of July. The suggestion of replacing traditional fireworks with drone shows was proposed as a more environmentally friendly alternative.
