Trina DeCarlo appointed principal of Willis Junior High School

Chandler Unified School District welcomed a new leader at the July 9, 2025, Governing Board meeting, as Trina DeCarlo was introduced as the new principal of Willis Junior High School. With 24 years of experience in education, DeCarlo is poised to bring her extensive background and commitment to student success to her new role.

DeCarlo, who holds a Bachelor of Sciences from California State University, Long Beach, and a Master's in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University, has a diverse educational background. She has worked in various settings, from urban schools in Long Beach to her recent position as assistant principal at Willis Junior High. Her dedication to fostering student growth and community engagement was evident in her remarks, where she expressed excitement about continuing the legacy of her predecessors while implementing her vision for the school.

During her introduction, DeCarlo acknowledged her family, who were present to support her, including her husband, mother-in-law, and children. She emphasized her commitment to making a positive impact on students and the community, stating, "I am incredibly humbled and excited to share my ideas, to help support our student growth, and to also bring our community together."
