Health district seeks expert assistance from Jim Ray in Bristol noise investigation

The Department of Public Health in Connecticut convened a meeting on July 11, 2025, to discuss the ongoing case of Reworld Bristol, Inc. v. Bristol Burlington Health District. The session focused on noise complaints related to Reworld Bristol and involved testimonies from various parties.

The meeting began with inquiries directed at a witness, Mr. Miller, regarding his observations of noise levels in Bristol. Mr. Miller confirmed that he had conducted informal tests on his phone to assess frequency but lacked formal data on noise levels from his residence or other locations in Bristol. He noted that his home is situated approximately four to five miles northeast of the Reworld facility. When asked about his investigation into potential noise sources, Mr. Miller admitted he was not an acoustic engineer and had only driven to the vicinity of Reworld to identify the sound he was experiencing at home. He stated that the noise he heard seemed to originate from the area near Bridal World and Reworld.

Following Mr. Miller's testimony, Attorney Bob indicated readiness to continue with the proceedings without a break. The next witness, Mr. Cascio, was introduced. He confirmed that he had been retained to assist the health district in this matter at the request of Mr. Marco Palmeri.

The meeting progressed methodically, with each participant contributing to the investigation of the noise complaints associated with Reworld Bristol. The discussions highlighted the challenges in measuring and attributing noise levels to specific sources, as well as the procedural steps being taken to address community concerns.
