Clearwater City Council approves multiple property annexations and zoning designations

Another annexation discussed was for 1115 Ridge Avenue, which also seeks to gain access to city services. The DRC again supported this request, highlighting its consistency with Clearwater’s development codes.

A notable agenda item was the annexation of 69.95 acres of land owned by Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, which includes a cemetery and two vacant parcels. This annexation is significant as it will enable the provision of reclaimed water services, in addition to solid waste and sewer services. The DRC’s recommendation for approval underscores the importance of this annexation for enhancing municipal services in the area.
