Task force elects Carl and Deanie to key committee positions in Colorado Springs

The Colorado 911 Task Force convened on July 11, 2025, to address several key issues, including leadership vacancies and upcoming meetings. The next meeting is scheduled for September 11 in Colorado Springs, where members will continue discussions on improving 911 services across the state.

During the meeting, the task force discussed the need for progress tracking through brief surveys. A proposal was made to implement a quick survey to assess advancements in their initiatives, with follow-up surveys planned for three months later. This approach aims to ensure accountability and transparency in their efforts.

Significant leadership changes were also a focal point. The task force announced several vacant positions, including the chair of the task force and the outage committee chair. Carl was appointed to serve as the interim chair for the next two meetings, while Deanie was selected to fill a board position for the Resource Center, taking over for Andrew, whose term ends in 2026.

Additionally, Jason Hendricks from Range was welcomed as a new member representing the ILEC position. His extensive experience in government relations and 911 services was noted as a valuable asset to the task force.
