Weld County approves Carnegie Indigo oil and gas development plan amid resident concerns

Weld County has taken a significant step forward in the approval process for the Indigo oil and gas development plan, as discussed during the Colorado Energy and Carbon Management Commission (ECMC) hearing on July 9, 2025. The plan, presented by representatives from Carnegie, received a green light following a thorough review and local hearings.

Polk County has expressed no further concerns regarding the ECMC permit, recommending its approval.
