Ninth grader Riley Tolson was highlighted for her participation in the cross country team and her memorable experience at the homecoming dance. Alongside her, tenth grader Jocelyn Serrano, eleventh grader Aliza Otten, and twelfth graders Sadie Tucker and McKenna Fleming were also acknowledged for their contributions to the school community.
In addition to individual accolades, the board celebrated the "Creative Achievers of the Month," Rai Choudhury and Rhys Hamburger, as well as the "Athletes of the Month," Naomi Nwahi and Eric Priessner. Deb Cathcart was recognized as the staff member of the month, underscoring the collaborative effort that drives the school’s success.
Transitioning from celebrations to updates, student representatives shared news from the sports arena. The fall sports season concluded with notable achievements, including the girls' soccer team reaching the finals and both boys' and girls' cross country teams being crowned South Jersey Group 3 champions. The community is also gearing up for the Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony scheduled for December 7, a testament to the school’s rich athletic history.
The arts were not overlooked, as the recent production of "Alice in Wonderland" was highlighted, along with a spirited week of activities leading up to the show. Upcoming events include the National Honor Society induction on November 25 and the dance team's holiday performance on December 13, promising to keep the community engaged and entertained.
As the meeting wrapped up, the focus shifted to academic milestones, with the first marking period report cards recently released and the second marking period interims set for December 12. The school will also host an SAT test on December 7, providing students with essential opportunities to prepare for their futures.
