Aldine ISD welcomes Christy Grant and Jacqueline Baez to leadership positions

Aldine ISD's August Board Meeting showcased significant leadership changes aimed at enhancing the district's educational and operational effectiveness. The highlight of the meeting was the introduction of three key appointments that promise to drive improvements across various departments.

First up, Christie Grant was welcomed as the new Executive Director of Payroll. With over 20 years of experience in finance, including 15 years in public school finance, Grant expressed her enthusiasm for streamlining payroll processes to boost accuracy and employee satisfaction. Chief Financial Officer Mister Osborne praised her extensive background, noting her success in managing payroll for a district with over 13,000 employees.

In another notable promotion, Jacqueline Baez transitioned from Principal at Worsham Elementary to Executive Director of Literacy and Social Studies. Baez, who has 17 years of educational experience, highlighted her commitment to improving literacy among students, which she believes opens up limitless possibilities for their futures. Her previous leadership at Worsham Elementary saw the school’s accountability rating rise significantly, showcasing her effectiveness in driving student achievement.

Lastly, Sheila Adams was introduced as the new Chief Communications Officer. With 15 years in communications, Adams aims to implement the district's strategic plan and enhance community engagement. She emphasized the importance of clear and consistent messaging to strengthen the district's connection with stakeholders.
