Aldine ISD honors four educators with Impact Awards for dedication and leadership

Aldine ISD celebrated outstanding contributions to education during its April 2025 Board Meeting, highlighting the dedication of several staff members with the prestigious Aldine Impact Award.

Sharon Kennedy, the pregnancy-related services coordinator at Hall Success Academy, was recognized for her exceptional support of parenting students. Her commitment ensures that these vulnerable students receive the resources they need to succeed both academically and personally. "She is a shining example of what it means to serve with heart and purpose," said Connie Esparza, who nominated Kennedy.

Xandra Williams Early, the program director of high school science, also received accolades for her innovative teaching methods that empower students. Randy Bates praised her unwavering commitment, noting that many of her students have gone on to attend top universities. "We cannot afford to pay you what you're worth, but you stay with us anyway," he remarked, emphasizing her invaluable contributions.

Tamela Willis, an assistant principal at Vines, was honored for her leadership and dedication to creating a supportive environment for students. Dr. Booker highlighted her contagious drive for education and her ability to face challenges head-on.

Sandra Black, a resource teacher at Olson Elementary, was recognized for her resilience and positive outlook in the classroom. Her commitment to fostering a thriving learning environment has inspired countless students throughout her career.
