Local EMS Department secures Ohio grant and submits two new funding applications

Chief of EMS proudly shared that they received a $3,330.96 grant from the state of Ohio, aimed at enhancing their operational capabilities. In a spirit of optimism, the Chief also revealed that two additional grant applications have been submitted. One is to the Community Foundation's HERO funded grant for $1,395, while the other seeks $14,894 from Norfolk Southern Railway for fire hose equipment. "Noes are free," the Chief remarked, echoing a sentiment of hopefulness as they await responses to these applications.

The meeting also highlighted the department's performance, with a report indicating a total of 271 responses so far this year, marking an increase of 27 responses compared to the previous year. This uptick reflects the growing demands on the township's emergency services and underscores the importance of continued support and funding.
