Washington County Commissioners approve funding for youth shelter and mental health programs

Each of these contracts is contingent upon final approval from the Maryland governor's office and aims to address critical community needs.

The board also addressed a request to reject a proposal for aircraft rescue and firefighting building demolition due to a single bid that exceeded the engineer's estimated costs. This decision will allow for a re-advertisement of the project to attract more competitive bids.

In a move to modernize county operations, the commissioners approved the purchase of new computers from Dell Technologies, totaling $141,677.72, funded through the department's capital improvement budget.
