Representative McDonough pushes for 24/7 Coast Guard coverage on Saginaw River

Representative Begich also brought attention to the need for funding to support federally recognized tribes in coastal areas, proposing an amendment to utilize interest from the Oil Spill Liability Trust Fund. He expressed concern over the lack of resources for tribal communities that are often the first responders to oil spills.

Lastly, Representative Ryan introduced the Hudson River Protection Act, which aims to clarify anchorage regulations on the Hudson River to protect drinking water sources for local communities.
