Castlewood and Luden High School honor valedictorians Angel Trent and Cali Dye

The Russell County Schools held a School Board Meeting on July 15, 2025, where several important agenda items were discussed, including the recognition of valedictorians from the Class of 2025.

The meeting commenced with a special recognition segment dedicated to the valedictorians. The first honoree was Angel Marie Trent, the valedictorian from Castlewood High School. Her parents, Roger and Beatrice Trent, were present to celebrate her achievement. The board expressed pride in Angel's academic accomplishments, highlighting her character and dedication.

Following Angel's recognition, the meeting moved on to the next valedictorian, Cali Brooke Dye from Luden High School. Unfortunately, Cali was not present at the meeting, but her parents, Lisa and Jeff Dye, were acknowledged. In her absence, Mr. Constable accepted the award on her behalf, noting the significance of being named valedictorian.

The board announced that the names of the valedictorians would be displayed in the office for the year, with a smaller plaque to remain in the boardroom as a lasting tribute to their achievements.

The meeting concluded with a sense of pride in the accomplishments of the students and a commitment to continue supporting academic excellence within the district.
