Killeen City Council approves revised citizen participation plan for community engagement

The Killeen City Council made significant strides in addressing homelessness and community engagement during a special meeting on July 15, 2025. The revisions include ensuring that public meetings are scheduled at convenient times for community members, with a commitment to start meetings no earlier than 5 PM.

In a unanimous vote, the council approved the ordinance adopting the 2025-2029 consolidated plan and the FY 2026 annual action plan, which outlines the use of community development block grant funds.
