Bullhead City's Rotary Park offers extensive recreational amenities and venue rentals

Bullhead City is enhancing its community services and recreational offerings, as highlighted in a recent city council meeting. The council emphasized the importance of proper waste disposal to prevent costly sewer backups, urging residents to only flush human waste, toilet paper, and gray water. This initiative aims to save taxpayers significant expenses related to sewer maintenance, which can reach up to $50,000 due to improper waste disposal.

In addition to waste management discussions, the council showcased Rotary Park as a premier outdoor sports destination. Located at 2315 Balboa Drive, the park features extensive facilities, including six softball fields, a baseball field, and eight lighted pickleball courts. It also hosts numerous annual tournaments, making it a hub for sports tourism in the region. The park is open daily from 4:30 AM to 11 PM, providing ample opportunities for community engagement and recreation.

The city also announced updates regarding solid waste collection services, now managed by Republic Services. Residents are encouraged to utilize the blue and green carts for trash, as residential recycling has been discontinued. The service operates Monday through Thursday, with specific areas designated for collection each day. Additionally, residents can schedule up to six bulky item pickups per year, promoting responsible waste management.

Mayor Tom Brady highlighted Bullhead City's appeal as a vibrant community, attracting over three million visitors annually. The city is positioned as a retail hub for Mohave County, with ongoing growth in retail space and business opportunities. With a focus on education, recreational activities, and community spirit, Bullhead City continues to foster an environment that welcomes both residents and visitors alike.
