City Council Plans Tenant Workshop to Support Community Resource Awareness

Half Moon Bay City Council is taking significant steps to enhance community support for tenants, as highlighted in their recent meeting on July 15, 2025. A key initiative announced is a tenant workshop scheduled for July 23, aimed at empowering residents with crucial information about their rights and available resources.

Irma Acosta from the city manager's office presented the workshop details, emphasizing its importance in addressing tenant concerns raised during previous council discussions. The event will take place at Seacrest High School from 6 PM to 7:30 PM and will feature presentations from local organizations, including the Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County and Project Sentinel. To ensure inclusivity, interpretation services will be available in both Spanish and Chinese.

This workshop is a direct response to community feedback regarding the city's rental programs, reflecting the council's commitment to supporting tenants beyond existing initiatives.
