Lake Dallas High School Coaches Celebrate Baseball And Softball Season Achievements

Lake Dallas ISD celebrated significant achievements in its athletics program during the recent board meeting held on July 17, 2025. Coaches from the high school baseball, softball, and golf teams presented their successes, highlighting the hard work and dedication of their student-athletes.

Softball coach Sonia Farrell Fouch announced that the Falcon softball team made its first playoff appearance since 2016, finishing the season with a commendable record of 17 wins and 11 losses. The team secured the title of by-district champions and achieved several milestones, including a new home run record of 21 and a batting average of .357. Notably, two players, Alicia and Zoe Christiansen, signed collegiate scholarships, marking a significant step in their athletic careers.

Baseball coach Matt Dean, in his first year at the helm, expressed gratitude for the support from the school board and community. He reported that the baseball team also reached the playoffs for the first time since 2021, with improvements in all offensive categories and a fielding percentage of .928. One player, writer Scheibel Hut, signed with Southern Nazarene University, and the team had eight all-district selections, the highest since Dean took over.

The meeting also recognized the achievements of the varsity golf team, which included a second-place finish for the girls' team at regionals. Coach Kaishak emphasized the potential for future success as the team builds on this year's accomplishments.
