Rock Springs Council Plans National Night Out at Boldt Park on August 5

Residents of Rawlins can look forward to an exciting National Night Out on August 5, 2025, as the City Council has announced plans for a community celebration at Boldt Park. The event will run from 5 PM to 8 PM and will feature a variety of activities, including vendor booths, horse riding, and complimentary food options such as burgers and hot dogs. Additionally, attendees will have the chance to see a helicopter and an ambulance, enhancing the community's engagement with local emergency services.

Notably, the National Night Out will replace the council's regular work session that evening, with the formal council meeting scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM. This shift aims to encourage greater community participation in both the festivities and the council's discussions.

In preparation for upcoming projects, the council will also conduct a field trip to the springs and the water treatment plant on August 1. Council members unable to attend this initial trip can arrange a second visit on either August 4 or August 8. This initiative underscores the council's commitment to understanding and improving local infrastructure.

Additionally, the council acknowledged the achievements of City Clerk Lynn Shearer, who will graduate from the Leadership Carbon County program.
