Mayor Wu commends public works for preparing schools ahead of new academic year

The City of West Covina's July 15, 2025, City Council meeting highlighted the commendable efforts of public works and community services, particularly in preparation for the busy July 4 celebrations. Council members echoed these sentiments, with Councilman Ollie Canto specifically thanking Acting City Manager Miley Makhachik for her leadership in directing public works efforts throughout the city.

The meeting also addressed the consent calendar, where items were discussed, including a bus shelter project. Items three and nine were pulled for further discussion, while the remaining items were approved unanimously by the council.
