Principal Amati moves to Gibbs as Pierce searches for interim leader

Arlington Public Schools is set to welcome a new principal at Gibbs School following the resignation of Madame Pierre Maxwell. Mr. Amati, currently the principal at Pierce, will transition to Gibbs, prompting the need for an interim principal at Pierce. This decision was announced during a recent School Committee meeting, where the focus was on ensuring a smooth leadership transition amid the summer administrative changes.

In preparation for the interim appointment, a staff forum was held to gather input from Pierce staff regarding their priorities for the new principal.
